Thompson River Canyon is an N scale layout that highlights the rugged mountain regions the Canadian National trains pass through. Filmed at the 2009 Caulfield AMRA exhibition. This layout was owned and constructed by Rod Warren and Vic Fitzpatrick, with John Colliver and Noel Purdey offering assistance with the layout wiring. Rod Warren had his home layout “Santa Fe on the plains in N scale” featured in the October 2009 issue of Model Railroader magazine.
Model Railroading -Scratch Building a RR Tower (Part 1 of 2)
How to scratch build a RR Tower in HO Scale. I needed a tower for my new railyard area and had some supplies laying around and i got busy. I used Styrene plastic (Plastruct brand) for the clapboard siding and used Grandt line windowsa along with some Campbell ones too. If you have an exacto knife handy and some paint you can do this too. Hope this helps somone. Since i had to build the tower i thought i would record it as i went along.
